Rules of English Alphabet Sounds in Urdu, In this lesson, we will learn about different English alphabets with multiple sound rules. We have learned in the previous lecture, there are many alphabets that are pronounced for more than one sound according to these rules.

Those alphabets are given below:-

C is pronounced (س، ک) Rules1

G is pronounced (ج، گ)

I is pronounced (ای، آئی)

U is pronounced (ا ،ع ، یو)

Y is pronounced (ای، آئی)

Rules for Alphabet – C:-

Commonly C is pronounced for (ک), for example: – Cow, Cat, Camel, Come, Cry, etc.

When (i, e, y) comes with a C letter, the pronunciation of this alphabet will be (س).

Example: – Ceiling, Cement, City, Policy, etc.

Rules for Alphabet – G:-

Commonly G is pronounced for (گ), for example: – Glass, Glamour, Girl, Groom, etc.

When (i, e, y) comes with G letter, the pronunciation of this alphabet will be (ج).

Example: – Ceiling, Cement, City, Policy, etc.

Rules for Alphabet – I:-

Commonly I is pronounced for (ای), for example: – Bit, Sit, Kit, Fit, etc.

When (I) comes with ND, GH, and E in the last letter, the pronunciation of this alphabet will be (آئی).

Example: – Kind, Mind, Find, Blind, Light, Flight, Bright, Inline, Online, Offline, etc.

Rules for Alphabet – U:-

Commonly U is pronounced for (ا، ع), for example: – Umbrella, Umar, Under, But, etc.

When any words end on (e) with a U letter, the pronunciation of this alphabet will be (یو).

Example: – Include, Exclude, Flute, and Mute, etc.

Rules for Alphabet – Y:-

Commonly Y is pronounced for (ای), for example: – Marry, Fairy, Cherry, and Publicity, etc.

When two and three-syllable types of words come, the pronunciation of this alphabet will be (آئی).

Example: – By, My, Try, Fly, Sky, etc.
